Pueblo Predators Football is a 501(c)3 non-profit youth football organization. The program was created to positively impact the youth of Pueblo, Colorado. Pueblo is a proud community that has a rich history that is often overshadowed by the gangs, drug addiction, and violent crimes within our community. We are doing our part to change the future of our community. We foster an environment of academic excellence, discipline, hard work, and respect. Our student-athletes spend time volunteering, and learning the proper and safe way to play football at an extremely competitive level. The last two years we have boasted a 96% honor roll rate, volunteered at our
local VA nursing home, and have captured our league title while being ranked as one of the top teams in the state of Colorado and now a message from our president.
I intend to teach the game of football, instill discipline, encourage classroom success, and build UNITY through hard work and commitment to a common goal of a successful football season. In order to be successful, everyone involved should realize that a positive attitude is a must. Very few things in life worthwhile come easily. Hard times require a positive outlook and attitude to continue striving to improve. My motto revolves around everyone making a great effort to get better every day for the good of the TEAM. A player’s level of improvement is directly related to the amount of effort put forth in each activity the team undertakes. I, as a coach, expect players to give great effort in everything I instruct the players to do. While expecting great effort from players, I as a coach will give great effort as well. It would be unfair for the coach expect more of a player than the coach is willing to give himself. As your coach, I will emphasize the importance of player accountability. It is expected that players will be individually responsible for their actions and day-to-day choices. Everyone should remember, “Playing football is a privilege, not a right”. There is no room for special privileges on a team. Everyone is expected to abide by the same standards and serve the same punishment when they do not.
As Vince Lombardi said, “Winning isn’t everything, but striving to win is”. This is the foundation of The Predators' football philosophy. Football is demanding. It is a sport of discipline and will, requiring commitment and hard work. It takes a dedicated athlete. Football is not for everyone. However, playing football will give back to you far more than it will demand.
Football provides an incredible sense of accomplishment and pride. It fosters confidence, courage, and cultivates lifelong friendships. Being a football player is a state of mind, and it is an honor that only a few share. Although winning is always an objective and important, we believe in, and work toward, what Vince Lombardi said, “The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender”.
“How can I make the team better?” should be the question regularly asked throughout the season. Hard work, discipline, commitment, and sportsmanship are imperative. They are how we define a successful season and football program.
Being a committed member of the Predators' football team translates directly to behaving as a responsible member of the community. We must always remember whom we represent.

My name is Kenny Gierhart. I am the owner of Kenny G’s Quality Trees LLC. I have been growing trees on the Mesa in Pueblo, Colorado since 1995. However the adventure began 15 years earlier when as a young man my father encouraged me to take advantage of many of the natural resources available in the area. In the spring and fall I would harvest trees from the local mountains by hand digging them with a shovel. It was hard work and as you can imagine production was slow. In 1995 I purchased my first tree spade and a small field, just under two acres, where I began growing my own trees. As of today there are over 50 acres of shade, ornamental, and evergreen trees in production. I typically service the I-25 corridor from Wyoming to New Mexico, however I can and will ship trees nationwide.
Pueblo is located about 100 miles south of Denver, CO. The Mesa lies on the east side of Pueblo and has a rich history of farming. It is also home to the some of the finest vegetables and chilis along the front range. Kenny G’s is one of the largest nurseries in Southern Colorado. This is due in part to our moderate climate, our fertile soil and available water. Although our tree numbers are large for our area, I prefer the small town approach to business. Every phone call or transaction is made with the person who can make decisions. I am a company dedicated to growing the highest quality trees at a reasonable price. I purchase our starter trees called whips from the most reputable nurseries in Oregon and Iowa. These whips are lined out in the fields where they are staked, pruned, fertilized and irrigated until harvest time which depending on the variety will range from three to six years. All of my trees are harvested mechanically with Vermeer, Caretree, and Big John tree spades. All trees are shipped balled and burlaped. I take great pride in the ability to dig and ship a quality product. I currently ship trees ranging in size from 1.5” to 8”. Customer satisfaction always has been and always will be my #1 goal.
